Nomad Box Bar is a unique mobile bar & beverage experience that brings an elegant and sophisticated full beverage catering service to your event or celebration!. Utilizing our elegantly customized mobile or portable bars, we provide an elevated inclusive beverage service from an intimate gathering of friends & family up to small festivals. These fully licensed food service vehicles are complete with running water, refrigeration, and draft system, making them compatible to almost every situation.

Our brand standard and philosophy is to provide an inclusive beverage experience to all guests whether they contain alcohol or not.  More and more people are opting to reduce their alcohol intake when celebrating and socializing, and often those who are not consuming can feel left out. We never want that to happen when we are in charge of beverage service. We advise on how to provide WOW beverage service with an appealing menu, flow management, alcohol quantity, selection, planning and more.

Our team of professional bartenders and mixologists are experienced in the distribution and consumption of alcohol and are attentive to your guests. It can be hard to moderate big crowds and knowing when to discreetly slow down those approaching their limit is a skill that is acquired with experience and training.

Wedding venues, tent weddings, backyard gatherings, remote destinations, indoor events… are all possible with the highly flexible Nomad Box Bar fleet. Nomad is equipped with 3 bars on wheels, multiple unique portable bars, and classy beverage stations to customize your event needs.

Our Box Bar Packages

All Packages include the minimum of:

  • We will arrive a minimum of one hour before your event to clean and prepare the Nomad for service. At the conclusion of bar service we will clean the immediate service area and prepare the Nomad for transport home. (roughly 2 hours total service)
  • Bar Back Package – Bar accessories, ice, napkins, basic garnish, basic mix (soda products), steel ice bins for non alcoholic refreshments
  • Beer Service
  • Wine Service
  • Spirit Service
  • Compostable Cups based on an average of (one cup/person/hour service)
  • Menu, decor and lighting to complete the look outside the bar

The Fine Print:

  • To enhance your guest experience,  additional bartenders / support staff may be added when guest count exceeds 100. Additional costs may apply.
  • Basic garnish includes bar limes, lemons, cherries and pickles where applicable. Additional charges may apply for seasonal fruit, edible flowers, dried fruits and garnishes etc.
  • A gratuity will be added on to your total service package.
  • Packages include bar setup and tear down. Nomad Box Bar employees are not responsible for guest table clean up.  If a bussing service is required additional fees will apply.
  • A travel fee may apply for locations outside Winnipeg
  • When required the event holder is responsible for securing a liquor permit from the LGCA (Liquor, Gaming, Cannabis Authority of Manitoba) Have questions? We will assist you!
  • Event insurance is required and needs to be provided when Nomad Box Bar is hired to serve at your event. Nomad is to be named as co-insured on all such policies. Ask for details.
  • Due to demand we reserve the right to enforce a minimum fee of $1200 for Friday and Saturday events. Some exceptions may apply. Contact us with your details

We will always do our best to answer any questions you have about our mobile bar service. Here are some of the most frequent questions. If you need further clarification or customization for an event please contact us directly for a personalized experience.

No. We are a pour service that serves alcohol that has been purchased by you. We can offer a concierge service that will pick up purchased alcohol on your behalf depending on your type of event.

We pride ourselves on providing a fully inclusive and tasty beverage service, whether that be with alcohol or without. We want to provide guests with a WOW experience where they receive drinks that are refreshing and tasty regardless of their alcohol content. We are sensitive to provide drinks that may appear the same so as to not always be distinguishable for those that are worried about judgement. Alcohol consumption is a choice and we want people to enjoy refreshing & tasty crafted beverages no matter what their choice may be.

That completely depends on the type of event you are having and where. You are not required to have a liquor permit if on private property. There are other exceptions to this rule depending on your venue. If however you are having your event at a community centre, wedding venue, hall, park, or other public event location, a liquor permit will need to be obtained from the LGCA (Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority). Nomad abides by all regulations governing alcohol consumption and distribution and will help guide you through the (simple) process if needed.

Hey, we get it. We are all for saving money and friends and family can be a good solution in certain situations for sure! Here’s a few reasons why we suggest us vs them, to consider.

  • It can be hard to control big crowds or cut people off. Our team is trained in the distribution and consumption of alcohol and is attentive to your guests. They can pace heavy drinkers and know when to discreetly slow down those approaching their limit. Leaving the responsibility up to us takes the discomfort off them having to deal with Uncle Bob after he’s had too many, if necessary.
  • We want to save you money too. Often we are told by people who opted out of a bartending service, that they had loads of opened and barely used bottles left over. We only open alcohol as it is requested, making the conservation of alcohol a strategy that we have perfected. Often we are able to return unopened alcohol at the end of the evening saving you $$$
  • We are trained in and abide by current health orders of Covid19 providing an added layer of safety for you and your guests. We can advise on how to provide WOW beverage service to your guests even while working under current health restrictions.

This depends. We want to make sure first that the bars can be positioned in your desired location and will be compatible for efficient flow and service. The service window is on different sides for each Box Bar so depending on your location, we may need to choose which bar will fit.

We are a full service package providing the mobile bar of your choosing, attentive certified bar staff, compostable and recyclable glassware, refrigeration, ice, mix (including bitters and simple syrups) garnishes, and all the barware needed to create cocktails, mocktails and hot beverages of your choosing. Let us know if you’d prefer glassware and we can discuss options.

We can serve premium craft cocktails, wine, champagne, canned or draft beer, soft drinks, sparkling water, craft lemonades & teas, bottled water and various non-alcoholic specialty drinks. If you have homemade wine or beer or have fruits harvested that would be special to you to include on the menu, we are happy to work with your requests. We are equipped with our own electricity and water supply and can serve hot beverage service upon request. Let us know if there is something you would like to serve that is not listed and we will do our best to accommodate!

Each bar comes styled with a variety of curated decorations and lighting appropriate for your event. Check out our gallery for examples of how we style the bar! There are many ways you can customize the bar from flowers & foliage to menu stationery etc. If you have custom decor you’d like to add or substitute, we are happy to accommodate!
Currently for Rent: 8ft long rustic high top cocktail tables with industrial pipe legs, Bar stools, Glass champagne cart, Classy self serve beer station, Industrial beverage cart and more.

This depends on you and your event! We have a minimum booking of 2 hours. Nomad has last call at 12:45 unless the event ends earlier or pre-arranged. Check our package menu for more details.

Nomad travels all over Manitoba! Transportation fees and accommodation may apply.
